From a Dream to the California Stage—Here We Go!
So how did we get here? How did a band from Indiana find ourselves gearing up for a mini California tour?
It all began with a Women’s Rock & Roll Fantasy Camp (https://rockcamp.com/)
in Nashville, TN—a single experience that changed everything. What started as a music camp quickly turned into lifelong friendships and an extended family. Christine, Dustin, Ryan, Sam, and all of our BNS Sisters became part of our journey, and those relationships opened doors we never could have imagined.
Through Christine and Dustin, we were invited to be a Volunteer at the She Rocks Awards (https://sherocksawards.com/)
and attend NAMM—the National Association of Music Merchants. From there, the family grew even bigger. We met an incredible community of musicians, WIMN leaders (https://thewimn.com/) and industry professionals: Bonnie, Laura, Jenna, Heather, Nicole, and so many others who have inspired, supported, and believed in us. For the past three years, we’ve proudly volunteered at the NAMM She Rocks Awards, celebrating women in music and building connections that truly matter.
Over the last two years, we brought Amanda and Brian along for the ride, strengthening those bonds and staying in touch with fellow musicians and bands. Somewhere along the way, we all looked at each other and said, “This is the year.” The year to take a leap. The year to turn NAMM and the She Rocks Awards into something even bigger—a tour.
With huge help from our friends—especially Jenna from SoCal Indie Musicians and her band, Frequency Within—we’ve put together an exciting run of five shows and two podcast appearances (so far!) around NAMM and the She Rocks Awards. We couldn’t be more thrilled.
Of course, touring comes with challenges—getting gear, drums, merch, and all our musical “toys” across the country is no small feat. Thanks to She Rocks and Bonnie, we connected with Hudson Audio, who’s helping us out with drum backline for all five live appearances. Jenna is hooking Brian up with a pedalboard and amp, Nicohl is bringing her pedalboard and basses, and Amanda is working out the perfect keyboard setup (keyboard or keytar—decisions, decisions!).
This tour is truly a team effort. It takes planning, collaboration, and an incredible support system to make something like this happen, and we are beyond grateful for our friends, family, and—most of all—our fans.
This is a huge stepping stone for us: breaking out of Indiana, reaching new audiences, and sharing our music across the U.S. and beyond.
Stay tuned for more updates and behind-the-scenes stories. Check out our show schedule on www.sustayn-official.com and if you’re coming to any of our shows, please stop by and say hello—we’d love to meet you in person. If you can’t make the shows, tune in to the podcasts.
Keep rockin’ and live while you’re alive!
